Marks of a disciple

The following are reflection questions to see where we are as a disciple of Jesus Christ along with the Scripture reference.

1. Am I willing to serve?  (John 13)
2. Am I learning to listen? (Luke 9:35, Luke 10:41)
3. Am I willing to learn? (Matthew 16:22)
4. Am I willing to be corrected? (Matthew 18:15)
5. How well do I submit to my authorities? (Hebrew 13:17)
6. Can I share my life with others in open and honest fellowship? (1 John 1)
7. Am I learning humility? (Phil 2:3)
8. Am I willing to examine my own life before criticising others? (Matthew 7:1-5)
9. Do I know my weaknesses? Am I willing to overcome them with the grace of God? (2 Cor 12:9)
10. Am I am perfectionist? Am I learning to accept myself in Christ? (1 John 1:8-10)
11. Am I able to forgive? (Matthew 18:21)
12. How do I handle discouragements? (Ephesians 6:10)
13. Can I be trusted? (1 Cor 4:2)
14. Do I mind my own affairs or like to be busybody or even a gossip? (1 Tim 5:13)
15. Do I see that all my time is a gift of God and to be used wisely? (Eph 5:15-17)
16. Do I aim first and foremost to please God? (John 12:43)
